This piece is a mixed media piece using acrylic paint, found object and collage. Inspired by the Parables of Octavia Butler, seen as a visionary in the Black community. Her glasses and bordered with black eye peas, a nod to the tradition of eating this delicacy on New Year Eve to bring good luck in the new year.
